Do you ever wonder what it would be like if a good percentage of folks who use their personal automobile to commute were able instead to rely upon an alternative method of transportation in order to go about their day?  It’s something that we at the Long Island Bicycle Co-Op realize isn’t within reason to expect from all of our friends and neighbors here on Long Island, but that won’t stop us from advocating for consideration of such things. Did you know that several Long Island villages, towns, cities and counties and other organizations have made real their commitment to clean and sustainable transportation options? That’s pretty cool when you consider the impact it has on the environment shared by us all.

Long Island Mobility Week is the perfect opportunity to test out new forms of clean and shared mobility, take stock of current transportation challenges and help our environment by making progress toward more sustainable transportation for all of Long Island. That’s why were thrilled to share this information about Car Free Day and Long Island Mobility Week.
