The New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation invite you to celebrate the pollinators that make flowers bloom, crops grow, and the world a prettier place.

Come join in to learn from members of the local beekeeper community right here on Long Island just how much our environment benefits from the bees that visit our plants and flowers. And did you know that besides looking quite lovely, butterflies also perform glorious acts of nature as they flutter and flit from plant to flower, pollinating as they move along? Well, they do! But don’t take our word for it, come and see for yourself and learn how our native plants benefit year in and year out.

Will there be vendors and food trucks? Yes, there will be! If games and live music are your thing, then look no further, because there will be plenty for you to enjoy. So come on by Sunken Meadow State Park, Field 1, from 11 AM until 3 PM on June 21 to enjoy this educational and fun time for the whole family.
